Voices From The Grave

voice1And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother?  And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper? And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground. Genesis 4:9-10

By most accounts the grave is silent. But, not always. Especially where it marks a place where injustice has occurred. The God of Creation has a “thing” about injustice. In fact, He abhors it.

Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face. Psalms 89:14

If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they. Ecclesiastes 5:8

And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. Isaiah 59:14-15

God is the judge, not the devil.

The enemy of our soul is on a search and destroy mission. And his “secret sauce”, if you will, is DECEPTION (capital letters warranted). It was deception that dethroned one-third of heaven’s angels and cast them out of heaven. It was deception that initiated Adam and Eve’s descent from the Garden of Eden to the Garbage of Weeden (I Timothy 2:14). It was deception that caused Judas to betray the Lord. And the list goes on, even today.

Jesus emphatically warned his followers to be on the lookout for works of deception in the last days. Are we there? Most certainly we are.

And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. Luke 21:8

Which brings us to the subject of this post – voices from the grave. What voices are you referring to sir? Deceiving voices from graves of the past – voices of past mistakes, voices of past shortcomings, voices of past stumbles, voices of past poor choices, or the voices of past moral failures.

And they all emanate within the very pit of hell itself from the insidious voice of the ‘Master Crafter’ of lies, insinuations and accusations. That is right, from hell.

You don’t hear much about that place in most modern places of worship today. Hell. More should be said and warned about it.

Hell is real. You don’t believe it? Too archaic of a term to describe life’s woes to the silicon hipsters of today’s fast and furious sweep, click and post crowd? Flip through a couple of cable news channels on any given day and see for yourself.

Or browse through the Internet and see if the filth does not attempt to seep and barge right into your collective mindset. Or ask David Richard Berkowitz or Jeffery Lionel Dahmer about hell. They might have a thing or two to say about it.

But, there is hope today. Jesus conquered death, hell, the grave, and yes, all of the lies from hell’s grave. The blood of Jesus Christ radically washes the heart and mind totally, unequivocally and unconditionally. The blood of Jesus silences voices from the past. They cannot speak. They have no power. Their cries are rendered mute and void through the crimson flood of Calvary – if we would only believe it and speak it.

Like Abel, the righteous blood of Jesus is crying from the ground even today. Cry the blood: “The blood has washed me. The blood has covered me. The blood has made me whole. The blood has saved me”.

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; II Corinthians 10:4-5

The war is already won. We only have to persevere and show up for the victory celebration:

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Revelation 20:10

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. Revelation 21:4-5

Be mad at hell and be mad for Jesus!

God Bless.

Happy July 4th 2016.
